Who these terms cover
These terms apply to work performed by RSB Electrical Inc., a family-owned electrical contractor in Mesa, Arizona, licensed under AZ ROC #167102 (CR-11) for both residential and commercial work. They also apply to your use of this website.
When you accept a written quote from us, these terms and the quote itself are the agreement. If anything on your quote says something different from this page, the quote governs for that job.
Estimates and written quotes
Estimates are free. We come out, look at the actual work, and give you a written quote — normally the next day. That quote is honored for 30 days from the date on it.
The price on the quote is the price for the work described on the quote. If we open a wall or pull a panel cover and find something genuinely different from what we were shown, we stop, explain what changed, and get your approval before doing additional work. You will not find charges on your invoice that were never discussed.
A quote covers what it lists. Work you add later, or conditions nobody could see at the time of the estimate, may change the price — and if that happens you will hear it from us before it happens, not after.
Scheduling, arrival and emergency calls
Our phone is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For emergencies — burning smell, sparking, a panel that is hot, power out to part of the house — call rather than use the form, and tell us it is an emergency.
Scheduled appointments are given an arrival window rather than a single minute, because electrical work does not run on a stopwatch and we would rather finish the job in front of us properly than walk away to hit a time. If we are running late, we call you.
We serve Mesa and the surrounding Valley cities, and for the right job we will roll a truck up to 50 miles.
Permits, inspections and code compliance
Work is performed to the electrical code that applies in your jurisdiction. Where the work requires a permit or an inspection — panel changes, service upgrades, new circuits and similar work — we handle the permit and coordinate the inspection as part of the job.
Some work also requires coordination with the utility, such as a service disconnect and reconnect. We arrange that where it applies, but utility scheduling is not something any contractor controls.
We will not perform work that is unsafe or not code-compliant just because it would be cheaper or faster. If what you are asking for cannot be done to code, we will tell you what can.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit for materials or staged payments on larger jobs, are stated on your written quote and invoice. Please read them before you approve the work.
Your invoice is the record of the job and your proof of warranty. Keep it — if you call us in eleven months about something we installed, the invoice is what makes that conversation simple.
Our one-year warranty
Labor and materials are warranted for one year from completion of the work. If something we installed fails within that year, call us and we will come back and make it right.
The warranty covers our work and the parts we supplied. It does not cover damage from causes outside the work itself — storm and utility surges on unprotected equipment, rodent or water damage, someone else modifying our work afterward, or normal consumable items reaching the end of their life.
Manufacturer warranties on equipment such as panels, chargers and fixtures are provided by the manufacturer and may run longer than one year. We will tell you what applies to the equipment on your job.
What we need from you
To do the work safely and on schedule, we need a few things from your side:
- Access to the work area, the electrical panel and, where relevant, the attic, crawl space or exterior meter on the scheduled day.
- Pets secured, and children kept clear of the work area while circuits are live or tools are out.
- Anything fragile or valuable moved out of the immediate work area before we arrive.
- Accurate information about the property, including any previous electrical work, known problems or existing permits, so we are not quoting blind.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Plans change and we understand that. Call as early as you can if you need to move or cancel an appointment, so we can give the slot to someone else who is waiting.
If materials have already been specially ordered for your job, or work has already begun, the terms on your written quote govern what is owed. That is another reason to read the quote before approving it.
Limits of liability
We are licensed and insured, and we stand behind the work we perform. Our responsibility is limited to the work described on your quote and to the warranty stated above.
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions we were not hired to correct, for failures in equipment we did not supply or install, or for damage caused by others working on the same system. Where the law allows a limit, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the work in question.
Nothing on this page limits any right you have under Arizona law that cannot be waived.
Concerns, complaints and the Registrar of Contractors
If something is not right, call us first. A family answers the phone, and most problems are solved in one conversation and one visit.
We are a licensed Arizona contractor, AZ ROC #167102 (CR-11), and licensed contractors in Arizona are subject to oversight by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. That recourse exists for every customer, and we would simply rather you never need it.
This website, reviews, and governing law
The text, photographs and layout on this site belong to RSB Electrical Inc. Please do not copy them for another contractor’s website.
Customer reviews shown on this site are pulled from public review platforms and are the words of the customers who wrote them, not ours. Descriptions of services on this site are general information about the work we do, not a quote for your specific job — only a written quote is a quote.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. If they change, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Questions about anything above: call (480) 485-4284, any hour, any day.
